Five Years Ago I Said "I Do"

I can not believe we have been married for five years already, it has flown by.  I remember our wedding day like it was yesterday.  It stormed the night before and ended up being so cold on our big day.  It did not matter though because I knew that no matter what happened that day, I was marrying my best friend and the love of my life.

I am so proud to call you my husband and the father of our two beautiful boys.  You are an amazing husband and to watch you being a daddy just melts my heart.  I can not imagine life without you in it.  I know that we have our moments but no matter what life throws our way we will make it.  Thank you for the life you provide for our family and for loving me all of these years.  You truly are my best friend and you have had my heart from day one (11 years ago).

Jump Around

We let Colyn try out the Jumperoo for the first time this weekend.  His feet do not quite touch the floor but he loved looking around at all the different toys and just enjoyed sitting up.  Jacob loved the fact that he could spin him around in it, ha!  I had to get on to him a few times for trying to spin him too fast.

 

 

 

 

Family Fun Day

This past Saturday we spent as a family.  Jarred decided not to go hunting so I took advantage of that and planned a day at the zoo.  The four of us had a great time.  Jacob really enjoyed seeing all the animals, except the snakes.  As soon as he saw one, he was trying to climb on top of the stroller to get to me so I would hold him.    Needless to say, we did not stay in the reptile building very long. 

Of course his favorite thing was the train ride.  He wanted to do that before seeing any of the animals.  Here are a few pictures from the day.  Please ignore Jacob's hair, I know he desperately needs a haircut.

It's My Bloggy First Birthday!

Yeah I know that is not a word but I like it!

So I can not believe I have been writing on this here blog for a year.  It is so funny to me because I swore I would NEVER start a blog.  I read a ton of them but I always said that it was stupid for me to start one because I would never have anything to say and no one would ever read it.  Well, I guess I was wrong. 

Thank you Trina and Morgan for pressuring talking me into finally starting this online journal of my crazy life.  I really am grateful for the two of you encouraging me to write down all the memories of my life that my family and I can cherish forever.  Happy Bloggy Birthday to me!  LOL 

It is all for these two little monsters, without them I would have NOTHING to write about.

Easter Festivities: Jacob's Party and Dying Eggs

I know I am a little late with the Easter recap but we have been battling the good ole' fever virus in our house hold yet again.  Jacob is the victim this go round.  The poor little guy came down (or should I say up) with a fever early Friday morning and as of this morning we still have it.  I took him to the doctor yesterday and he was poked and prodded until they determined he was negative for strep, mono and the flu.  So, we just have to ride it out, which just plain stinks!

Since we were battling the fever all weekend we kind of kept Easter low key.  I always get so excited on holidays for the kids (especially since this is Colyn's first real holiday) but I have come to realize that things do not always go as planned and I just have to suck it up and not stress out over it.  So with that said, we did not get all dressed up this year (although I did put Colyn in his outfit) and we cut all the outings very short.  Here are are a few pictures from Jacob's school party and dying eggs.
