31 Weeks

I went to the doctor this past Tuesday and all is good.  Dr. Benton gave me another round of antibiotics to try to knock this mess out yet again, hopefully it will work.  I now start going every two weeks, I can not believe we are already to that point.  This pregnancy has literally flown by!  Here is my belly picture for the week.

We (as in I) carved our pumpkins the other night.  Here are a few pictures of the fun.

Last night we went to Jacob's school Fall Festival, it was fun but very crowded.  I did not really get any good pictures because the battery died on my camera and Jacob was too busy running around.  Here is my one good shot of the little pirate before the festival at my grandmother's.

Weekend Full of Family and Friends

We had yet another busy weekend that flew by.  My friend Lynn from Atlanta and her fiancé came into town.  We did not do much but hang out at the house.  Saturday afternoon all of Jarred's buddies came over to watch that nail biting Bama game.  A pregnant woman can not handle games like that, I swear it could have put me into labor, HA! 

Sunday we had our family up for Jarred and Haley's birthdays.  It was a good time had by all.  We cooked out and had cake.  I have been a little under the weather so I have not had a chance to upload any of my pictures from this weekend (although I did not even really take many).  I will get those up just as soon as I can. 

I know this is short and sweet, but that is about all I have to recap from the weekend, it was just pretty busy.  I go to the doctor today and I am hoping she can give me something to knock this nasty crud out yet again.  I hope y'all have a great Tuesday!

We have know each other since I was in first grade, crazy huh.

Jarred asked me out after a night of riding up and down the parkway (if you are from CP you know what I am talking about) and talking on the phone.

I am 27 and he just turned 29.  We were only a year different in school though.

♥ Did you go to the same school?
Yes but he graduated a year before me

Yes

♥ Who is the smartest? 
It just depends, I think we both have our certain smarts.  It is funny because we call him the CEO of our house and I am the CFO. 

♥ Who majored in what?
Jarred tried school, but it just was not for him.  I have a bachelor's degree in Health Sciences.

♥ Who is the most sensitive?
Me, I can cry at the drop of a hat

♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple? 
We do not eat out often but when we do it is usually something like Buffalo Wild Wings or Chili's.

♥ Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
New Orleans for a Wedding.

♥ Who has the worst temper?
Oh that would be Jarred, but I am not far behind him.

♥ How many children do you want?
We have 1 and 1 on the way.  Jarred says we are done but I don't know, I kind of want 1 more.  Who knows.

♥ Who does the cooking?
We both cook, but it is not very often.

♥ Who is more social?
I think I am, Jarred is pretty shy.

♥ Who is the neat-freak?
Jarred

♥ Who is the most stubborn?
Jarred, he does not like to be wrong, but neither do I (LOL).

♥ Who wakes up earlier?
I do during the week but on the weekends it is a toss up.

♥ Where was your first date?
We went to a party after a basketball game (we were in high school).

Jarred, he has 2 sisters and a brother.  I have just my one sister.  I have a bigger extended family though.

♥ Do you get flowers often?
No, but they cost too much and just die, so I am okay with that. 

♥ How do you spend the holidays?
Running around like crazy to see all of our family.

♥ Who is more jealous?
That would have to go to Jarred.

♥ How long did it take to get serious?
Well, we dated for a while then took a pretty long break but still kept up with each other during that time.  We eventually got back together and have been since.

♥ Who eats more?
Usually Jarred but itis a toss up right now since I am eating for two.

♥ What do you do for a living?
He is the Warranty Manger at a heavy equipment company and I work in accounting at a University.

♥ Who does the laundry?
I do mine and Jacob's, he does his.  He does not like the way I wash/fold clothes (never has and never will, LOL).

♥ Who’s better with the computer?
Me.  Jarred has gotten better at it and even has a Facebook now, LOL.

♥ Who drives when you are together?
Jarred

♥ What is "your" song?
We used to, but Jarred doesn't like that song so he always turns it off, HA!  (Again we were in high school when I pretty much made it our song).

To my beautiful sister-

I can not imagine life without you in it.  You are truly my best friend!  Growing up with a baby sister 8 years younger than me was sometimes hard but I never took it for granted.  I am so proud of you and proud to call you my sister.  You have grown into a beautiful young women with a great head on your shoulders.  Enjoy each moment of growing up because it will fly by so fast!  Happy 19th Birthday!

10 Weeks To Go!

I am 30 weeks this week, yea!  I am more and more miserable by the day but hey, it is just a part of it.  I am very blessed that God chose me to carry this precious boy and to be his Mommy.  We have been working very hard on the nursery this past week, so hopefully I can show some sneak peak pictures next week.  As for now, here is my humongous belly.

I do not even have words for it anymore!  On a good note, I was able to pick up my awesome diaper bag yesterday.  I am so excited because a friend was able to get it through a girl she knows at cost instead of spending an outrageous amount on it.

Last night we celebrated Jarred's birthday.  Jacob and I made him a cake (well, Jacob got bored with it and ran off) and waited on him to get home.  He had no idea I bought him anything for his birthday so to say he was surprised at what he got is an understatement.      

I do not get a smile like that out of him very often!

My poor excuse for a cake (well the cake was good, the writing, not so much).

 

I am glad he had a happy birthday.  I even let him off the hook on painting last night.  Happy Thursday!

To my wonderful husband-

Today you are 29, wow I can not believe that we are already in our late twenties!  I can remember like it was yesterday when you and I were just a bunch of teenagers being young and in love, now here we are growing closer each year with our beautiful family.  Thank you for being such a wonderful husband and father.  Jacob loves his daddy more than life itself and follows your every move.  I am so proud to call you my husband and the father of my children.  I can not wait to celebrate MANY more birthdays with you!

Weekend Recap

We had a pretty busy weekend that came and went.  Friday night I had GNO at Amy's house.  It was a fun time had by all, we called it a night pretty early though.  Jarred went hunting with his buddies since it was opening weekend so I was able to go home to a nice quite house.  I got a great night's sleep and went for a much needed massage on Saturday morning. 

The massage was wonderful but went by way too fast.  It put me in a very relaxed mood.  After my massage, I did a little shopping for Christmas (I am trying to be done in case Baby Colyn decides to come early) and then picked up Jacob to go watch the Bama game with my parents.  Here is my little man in his Bama gear that Trina handed down to us.

Sunday I helped with Amy's baby tea.  Morgan was generous enough to have it at her house, even though she is due in two weeks!  Everything turned out so nice.  We did primary colors because Amy and Mark are not finding out what they are having.  We are all so excited about the big surprise.  Here are a few pictures from the festivities.

29 Weeks

I am getting closer and closer!  This week has been pretty busy, we started working on the nursery last night.  I can not wait to get it finished so I can show it off.  Here is my weekly belly picture.

Jarred told me the other night that he did not think my stomach could stretch any more, but oh how it amazes me to see these pictures every week and realize that it can in fact continue to stretch.  I finally got a really nice complement (other than the sweet comments y'all leave me) from a girl on Tuesday, she told me I was the cutest pregnant person she had ever seen.  That made me week!

I meant to share the sweet little elephant that I had made for Colyn last week.  Rachel has a shop on etsy,  Little Tumblebees.  She makes the cutest baby items.  I emailed her about doing my little elephant in the same fabric as my crib and she was sweet enough to do it.  So, here is a little sneak peak at what my fabric is going to be for the nursery and my cute little elephant that Rachel made.

I Love Fall

We had a pretty low key weekend.  Jarred's buddies came up to watch football on Saturday and we went to church yesterday.  It finally stopped raining long enough for us to go buy the mums and hay belles I have been wanting.  Jarred was able to cut the grass and we got our front porch decorated for Fall.  Oh how I love Fall!

28 Weeks

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and of course it was very uneventful.  Although, Dr. Benton did ask where my belly came from.  Okay, I get it I am huge!  She measured me, listened to the heartbeat and sent me on my way.  She did say that my iron was low so I have to start taking iron pills again, which I kind of figured since I have been munching on ice a lot lately.  I go back in three weeks then I start every two.  It is getting closer.  Here is my belly picture for the week.

I have started my nesting phase I believe.  I am picking up and cleaning every night now.  I can not sit still anymore, I feel like I need everything to be organized.  Last night I worked on Jacob and Colyn's wreaths.  They are almost done, just need letters for their names.  I also organized Jacob's closet and got his winter clothes washed and ready to be worn.  I am hoping to have Jarred and his buddy paint the nursery next weekend, we shall see.  I hope y'all have a great Thursday!
