Wordless Wednesday: Waiting

IMG_3591

We are patiently waiting on Baby Colyn to get here!  Jacob cracks me up with his one house shoe on.  He had to test out the glider in Colyn's room.

Slowly Getting There

I have been working very hard this weekend and last night to get the nursery done and it should all come together by the end of the week, finally!  I wanted to share a sneak peak of the walls that I am very proud of because Jarred and I worked  hard on them.  I will say I worked hard on them because I taped and painted most of the stripes!  When I want something done I just do it myself, it is much easier that way, LOL!

I will have more pictures towards the end of the week.   I also finished Colyn's wreath and revamped Jacob's.  Here are a few pictures of them.

My dad and Jarred put Jacob's early Christmas present together this weekend as well.  My parent's neighbor had a wooden play set that their boys did not play on anymore and sold it to my dad for CHEAP!  My dad cleaned and stained it and now it is in our yard and looks brand new.  We are so thankful for such a great deal!  Jacob and Colyn will enjoy it for years to come.

I am sorry this post is all over the place.  I feel so scatterbrained today and have so much on my mind so you'll just have to excuse me, LOL!  Have a happy Tuesday!

33 Weeks

Not much to report this week.  I went to the doctor yesterday and I had lost 2 pounds thanks to the wonderful stomach virus I had last week.  I go back the week of Thanksgiving then start weekly appointments, it is getting close!  Everything was great with Baby Colyn.  Dr. Benton said he looks like he is laying sideways because my stomach is so wide, but he isn't.  Here is my weekly belly picture.

I hope y'all have a great Thursday.

Weekend Rundown

I had a very busy weekend and am still recovering from it.  I apologize in advance for such a long post.  I know Thursday is not a part of my weekend, but I got to go meet Baby Brooks.  He is too precious!  He slept the whole time I was there but was just as sweet as could be.  Morgan looks great and seemed to be feeling good considering she had just given birth the day before.  I can not wait for all of my sweet friends' babies and Colyn to grow up together.

IMG_3554Friday was UAB's homecoming parade, so my mother brought Jacob down to my office so we could go see Haley in it.  Jacob had a great time shaking his shaker, catching candy and yelling, "Go Blazers."

After work, my sister and I headed down to  Christmas Village.  If you are local I am sure you know what it is, but if not, Christmas Village is a huge arts and crafts festival with all homemade gifts.  It was a site to see my sister and I walking around, she is in a boot since she sprang her ankle and I tend to waddle these days.  We managed to make it through the whole thing in about 2 1/2 hours, so I thought we did good.

Saturday I had to head out early to get to Atlanta for my friend, Lynn's wedding shower.  I made it right on time.  She had a lovely shower and received a lot of great gifts.  I hate that I did not get to stay and visit longer with her and Christy but I will get to see them both again next weekend.

After the shower I headed back to Birmingham to watch the Alabama game with Jarred's buddies.  I missed the first half but got to see Bama come back and play a great game against LSU, Roll Tide!  We hung out for a while after the game, then went home for some much needed sleep.

Sunday we went to church then had our family pictures made.  My cousin Savannah did a great job, considering Jacob was a wild man!  I can not wait to share the pictures she took.  After our pictures, the fun continued as we went to my friend Melissa's little boy's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  That place was a mad house!  Jacob had a great time and Riley had a great party.   IMG_3569 IMG_3573IMG_3576

I am so glad I can finally rest from such a busy weekend and have nothing to do this coming weekend but finish the nursery.  I can not wait to share pictures of the finished work!    Have a great Tuesday.

32 Weeks

Sorry I have been M.I.A this week.  We confirmed Jacob did in fact have a stomach virus on Halloween because Monday night Jarred and I both got sick.  It has been a rough week but all is good now.  Being pregnant and throwing up with a stomach virus is not cool!  I just needed to confirm that incase it wasn't known, HA.

So I am 32 weeks now, not much change except I have lost 4 pounds in the past week (not really by choice).  My doctor should be happy since I was told I did not really need to gain anymore.  Oh well, as long as Baby Colyn is healthy I do not care how much I gain.  Here is my weekly belly picture.

In other news, one of my best friends had her precious baby yesterday.  I can not wait to meet Baby Brooks this afternoon.  Mother and child are doing well and I am sure she will post all about it on her blog very soon.  I hope you all have a great Thursday.  I have a very busy weekend ahead and should have plenty to talk about on Monday.

A Not So Happy Halloween

Well our Halloween did not really go as planned, but I guess that is to be expected sometimes when you have children.  Jacob got sick Saturday morning at Nana's.  We thought he just got choked on sinus drainage and it made him throw up, well I guess it was a mixture of that and maybe a virus, we don't really know.  By the time we picked him up to get ready to go Trick or Treating he had thrown up again.

We decided to put his costume on him and take a few pictures just incase that was it.  I am glad we did because sure enough as soon as we got to my grandmother's he needed to throw up again!  It was so pitiful, he just made me want to cry.  He knew we were supposed to go with our friends and kept saying he wanted to go trick or treating with Emma and Mallory.

He was much better yesterday morning, you would have never known the child was sick.  The first thing he asked for when he woke up was "marties,"  that is Smarties in two year old.  LOL!  Of course, we waited a while before we gave him any Smarties, but he was definitely back to normal yesterday.  Here are the few pictures I got of him being a Pirate.
