This weekend was very eventful to say the least. Friday night we had GNO at my friend Melissa's house. We had a great time just cutting up and being girls! They gave me a great basket filled with baby stuff for Baby Colyn, thank you girls!
Saturday I completely over did it. I tend to get ideas in my head and when I want them done I do not like to wait on anyone to do them, so I decided I would rearrange my living room. I am in total nesting mode right now and I can not sit still. Jarred went hunting so he was not home and I did not feel like waiting so I did it. I was pretty worn out by the end of the day to say the least. My friend Christy came in town Saturday afternoon so we just hung out and went shopping at Target with Jacob.
Sunday, my wonderful friends threw me a baby tea or sprinkle as they say if it is a second child. They also all went in together and got me a double stroller (which I can not wait to use). It was great, I had such a great time and got a lot of great gifts. Baby Colyn will not run out of diapers or wipes for a while!
We had the tea at my house so everyone could see the nursery. It was a great excuse to have everything done and my house clean, HA! Here are a few pictures from the day.
I am so happy this is a short week at work because now it is time to decorate for Christmas. I am going to try and take it easy for a few days as seeing that I could not walk by Sunday night. Jarred made me put my feet up and rest last night, which is really hard to do when I have so many things running through my head that need to be done. I hope everyone has a great week!
Only six more weeks to go! There is not much to report this week other than I am just tired and getting very uncomfortable but that is all a part of it. I go back to the doctor next week for my first "check" and will then go every week until the end. Here is my belly picture for the week.
I have been getting the nursery ready this week to show off at my baby shower this Sunday. I still have several things to do but hopefully it will all come together by then. I picked up Colyn's bedding on Wednesday night and I am so excited to show it to everyone. Beckers is a local company that I found through several friends and Becky, the owner did a great job on the bedding. She is as nice as can be and has very reasonable prices on her bedding. Here are a few pictures of the finished product.
I know the pictures are dark, they do not do it justice. I will try to get some brighter pictures this weekend. The bedding also came with a blanket that Becky made, but for some reason I did not take a picture of it.
That is about it for me. My friend Amy and her husband Mark had their sweet baby on Wednesday and I am so excited to finally meet her this afternoon. They made us play the guessing game for nine months because they did not find out what they were having. I am so excited for them, this is their first child. I was right all along, I knew it was a girl! I hope everyone has a great weekend, I have a busy but exciting one ahead. Happy Friday!
We are patiently waiting on Baby Colyn to get here! Jacob cracks me up with his one house shoe on. He had to test out the glider in Colyn's room.

I have been working very hard this weekend and last night to get the nursery done and it should all come together by the end of the week, finally! I wanted to share a sneak peak of the walls that I am very proud of because Jarred and I worked hard on them. I will say I worked hard on them because I taped and painted most of the stripes! When I want something done I just do it myself, it is much easier that way, LOL!
I will have more pictures towards the end of the week. I also finished Colyn's wreath and revamped Jacob's. Here are a few pictures of them.
My dad and Jarred put Jacob's early Christmas present together this weekend as well. My parent's neighbor had a wooden play set that their boys did not play on anymore and sold it to my dad for CHEAP! My dad cleaned and stained it and now it is in our yard and looks brand new. We are so thankful for such a great deal! Jacob and Colyn will enjoy it for years to come.
I am sorry this post is all over the place. I feel so scatterbrained today and have so much on my mind so you'll just have to excuse me, LOL! Have a happy Tuesday!
Not much to report this week. I went to the doctor yesterday and I had lost 2 pounds thanks to the wonderful stomach virus I had last week. I go back the week of Thanksgiving then start weekly appointments, it is getting close! Everything was great with Baby Colyn. Dr. Benton said he looks like he is laying sideways because my stomach is so wide, but he isn't. Here is my weekly belly picture.
I hope y'all have a great Thursday.
