The Room is Complete...Mostly

We had a pretty busy weekend yet again.  Friday night was GNO at Ashley's house.  We had a great time hanging out and eating pizza.  We celebrated Melissa's birthday and I of course forgot to take a single picture.  Saturday was rainy so we stayed in most of the morning and then headed to my parent's house for the Bama game.  Here is little man cheering on the Tide.

Sunday was spent finishing Jacob's new room.  I spent most of the morning switching and cleaning out the upstairs closets.  I was so worn out from getting up and down out of the floor.  Jarred and his buddy, Brett moved the dresser from my parent's house and I was able to finally get everything arranged the way I wanted it.  Haley (my sister) finished the painting to hang above his bed so I was able to get that hung as well.  So, without further ado, here is little man's new room.  Please ignore the bare walls and the humidifier (he is fighting a nasty cough).

And here is the painting my sister did for Jacob, up close.  She did an awesome job!  I can not wait for her to do Colyn's painting for the nursery.  If anyone is interested in having one made, she loves to paint and is very artistic.

Sorry for all the repetitive pictures, I am just in love with this painting!  HA!  I still need to hang pictures and the selves I bought on the walls and I really need to get him some valances.  They make ones that match his quilt so I will eventually buy those.  Haley is also going to do a couple of little pictures of trucks to hang on the wall as well.  I am very please with the way the room color and everything else turned out.  I hope y'all have a great Tuesday!

26 Weeks

Here I am at 26 weeks, still counting down.  I have nothing new to really report this week, just getting more tired as the days go by.  Here is my weekly belly picture.

On another note, I went to Kids Market here in Birmingham last night.  If you are in the Birmingham area I highly recommend going.  I shopped for two hours and my patience paid off because I came home with a TON of clothes for both Jacob and Colyn and feel that I got a great deal.  I am attaching pictures of all my great finds!

Jacob is in a wedding in January and I called my friend Lynn when I found this and she told me to GRAB it!  It is a three piece tux in perfect condition for $10!

These are three of my favorite outfits I got Colyn.  The puppy on the pants in the middle is on the booty and the Christmas outfit I got because it was super cute and only $3, so if he is not here yet I have two other friends that could use it.

Kids Market has a Fall and Spring sale so I will definitely be going to the Spring sale as well.  That is about all I have to report.  We have GNO tonight and I am getting my hair cut.  I will share pictures on Monday.  I  hope you all have a great weekend!  TGIF

Football and Friends

We had a busy few days full of football and friends.  Friday night, Jarred and I had to take care of some business then enjoyed a nice dinner at Billy's off Liberty Park.  It was so yummy, I just love their cheese fries.  Saturday morning I took Jacob to get his flu mist.  He knew we were going to Dr. Bill's office to get some medicine so he will not get sick.  I told him if he would be a good boy that I would get him a surprise.  Minus just a little crying he did great, it was so funny because he had to get a shot also (we had missed one that he had needed in the past)  and when the nurse was done she handed him a sucker and he said, "thank you, you hurt me but thank you, bye."  It was so funny!

As I promised we went to Target to get him a surprise, he of course picked out a huge truck that makes annoying sounds, oh the things I do for that little man, HA!  We also got McDonald's and headed to Nana's house because they wanted to spend some time with him.  So, after dropping him off at Nana's, I headed home to watch the Bama game with the hubby.  The game got to be a little boring (because we were kicking tail) so I started working on the wreath for Baby Colyn's door and changed up Jacob's.  I can't wait to finish them and show them off.

Saturday night we went to a friend of Jarred's to watch the Auburn game and eat chicken wings.  We had a good time, I of course feel asleep on the couch.  Sunday, we went to church and then to Olivia's birthday party.  She had a Hannah Montana birthday party and got a lot of great gifts.  After the birthday party Jacob and I went grocery shopping.  When we got home, Jarred had Jacob's TV and toys fixed up so he could move into his new room.  We are still waiting to get the dresser from my parent's house because it has done nothing but rain here for two maybe three weeks so until we get that I will wait to share pictures of his completed room.  Hopefully it will stop long enough this coming weekend so we can get it.  I hope you all had a great weekend!

Let the Birth Days Begin

I have mentioned in the past about our GNO group, well I love these girls to death and it means so much to have girl friends that you can tell anything to or just rely on.  Well there are five of us pregnant and the birth days began this weekend.  Lindy had her baby boy, Wyatt, Friday night.  He is adorable.  Several of us got up Saturday morning to go see him and reassure Lindy that she looked fabulous (did not even look like she had given birth not 24 hours before).  Wyatt is in great health and Mommy, Daddy and big sister Ella are so excited for his arrival.

After seeing Lindy, I went with my parents to the UAB game to support my sister again this weekend.  I wanted to take Jacob but did not because it was supposed to rain.  We tailgated and got to watch the pep rally before kickoff.  It was a good game, but the Blazers lost.  That night Jarred, Jacob and I watched the Alabama game at Jarred's parents' house.  It was not a pretty first half, but Bama showed up to the second half and won, Roll Tide!

Sunday we went to church.  It was a great service but I was somewhat distracted with a horrible pain.  I thought it was just a Braxton Hicks contraction but my friend told me that these do not hurt, this HURT!  I was squeezing Jarred's leg and in tears, but it went away and I have not had any pain since.  I never really had contractions with Jacob until I was already doped up in the hospital so I did not remember what they felt like.  Hopefully it was nothing and I will not feel pain like that again until I am in labor, SEVERAL months from now.  I hope you all had a great weekend.

24 Weeks

I am now 24 weeks, only 16 more to go.  That is if Baby Colyn waits till the very end.  We will see.  I went to the doctor on Tuesday and everything was great.  Found out some interesting information from my doctor and had my sugar test.  I have not had a phone call from the nurse about my sugar test, so I guess no news is good news.  This makes me extremely happy since I failed it when I was pregnant with Jacob.  I go back in October.

090909 002

Now, if I may, I am going to get on my soapbox for a moment.  Yesterday I had a lady in my office ask me, "are you sure you are going to make it till December, you sure are getting big."  Are you kidding me?  I do not know if it is just me, but seriously you do not say that to a pregnant woman.  I usually laugh and just let it go because people are so ignorant but then I got it AGAIN yesterday afternoon.  Another girl I know asked me when I was due and then proceeded to say, "that is a big ol' belly you got there, are you sure it's not twins?"   Did your mother not teach you, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all?"

It is a pure blessing to carry my children but please do not remind me or any pregnant woman for that matter of how big their belly is, I mean come on, there is a child in there!  Jarred reminded me last night that he thinks I am hot so that is all that matters to me.  Okay, sorry for that, I will now step off my soapbox.  I hope you all have a great Thursday!

Is Today Monday or Tuesday?

It never really matters, the first day of the week is crazy, Monday or not.  We had a busy weekend to say the least and I am still trying to catch up on the rest.

Saturday was an eventful day, after all it was the start to college football.  My sister is a UAB Blazer cheerleader and I had promised her I would make it to her game, of course it was raining ALL DAY!  It actually did clear up though for the three o'clock kickoff and stayed rain free until the 3rd quarter.  She looked so cute and cheered the Blazers on to a 44-24 victory over Rice.

That night, Jarred had all the guys over for the Alabama game.  This is our weekly tradition of cooking out and watching the game to pull our Tide through.  I failed to mention that Jarred had Jacob with him the whole day.  When I got home, Jacob was running around like a crazy child.  Jarred let his buddies jack him up on sugar!  He refused to wear his Bama jersey but was too funny.  He would clap and scream Roll Tide when we all got excited and would run to each of the guys and make them give him knuckles.  Because he had not taken a nap, he was out by half time.  It was a great game and we can not wait to see what the rest of the season has in store.

sept06 001 Jarred and all his buddies!

Sunday we went to the lake with my friends Morgan, Amy and their husbands.  We had a great time riding on the boat, feeding the ducks and cooking out.  I have a lot of pictures to share from then, so I will post them all tomorrow since this post is so long.

Yesterday, Jacob and I decided to go to the pool with my mom and sister.  The pool closes after this weekend so we figured we would take advantage of it.  Jacob had so much fun jumping in and "swimming" to the steps.  He would do it all day long if we would let him.
